Consultant Dermatology
Dr. Matthias Roux is an alumnus of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, where he completed his medical studies and earned his doctoral degree with honors (“magna cum laude”).
He began his career at the German Cancer Research Center, led by Nobel Prize winner Harald zur Hausen, known for discovering the papillomavirus vaccine. This was followed by a fellowship at the University of Heidelberg and the Tumor Center Heidelberg.
He completed his residency in Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Cologne, Germany, and achieved his German board certification as a Consultant Dermatologist and Venereologist in 1995. Since then, his work has focused on dermatological surgery and aesthetics, performing thousands of procedures.
Dr. Matthias Roux later worked in his own private clinic and was co-founder and member of Gesundheitszentrum Potsdamer Platz GmbH, an internationally recognized multi-specialty clinic in central Berlin.
He has authored and contributed to numerous scientific publications and has been a speaker at international conferences. He has also frequently trained dermatologists in surgical and aesthetic workshops.
Dr. Matthias Roux moved to the UAE in 2013 and has since been providing high-quality dermatological care in private clinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering a wide range of services for both children and adults.
